Why Defense Contractors Trust Intech Pacific to Guide Self-Managed Level 1
Some companies decide to carry Level 1 themselves. We built CMMC Accelerator so they are not left working from a template and a search engine.
- CMC L1 gap assessment performed by a LCCA
- A Level 1 POA&M your team can work from
- Every item mapped to a ready-made template, procedure, or video
- Direct access to certified compliance experts
- Fixed scope, fixed fee, defined handoff
- Convert to a managed engagement anytime, with no rework
What Usually Goes Wrong When Level 1 Is Self-Managed
Level 1 covers 15 safeguarding requirements, self-assessed and affirmed in SPRS by a senior company official. The small requirement count makes it look like a form to fill out, but the failures are almost always upstream: the wrong scope, documentation that describes intent rather than practice, and no evidence behind the score you affirm. CMMC Accelerator settles all three before your team starts work.
What you get with CMMC Accelerator
- FCI scoping and boundary validation
- A gap assessment against all 15 Level 1 requirements
- A written POA&M in plain language
- POAM mapped to a template, procedure, or training video
- Evidence and recordkeeping guidance
- An SPRS submission and affirmation assistance

Intech Pacific Assists PacMar Technologies in Achieving CMMC Level 2 Certification
"Bringing Intech Pacific on board 12 months ago was the turning point in our CMMC journey,” said Mitchel Kagawa. “We needed a partner who truly understood the DoD landscape and could translate complex NIST requirements into actionable technical solutions. Intech’s local presence and 'Security-First' approach gave us the confidence and the infrastructure we needed to successfully navigate the C3PAO assessment with CG Silvers Consulting."

FAQ
Why do you recommend a managed engagement instead of this service?
Because CMMC is an annual, ongoing obligation affirmed under a senior official's signature, and because most contractors who reach Level 1 are eventually pulled into Level 2 by a prime. A managed engagement keeps scope, documentation, evidence, and affirmation in one place and in one set of hands. CMMC Accelerator is the right answer when you have made a considered decision to carry that work internally.
What is CMMC Accelerator, and who is it best for?
CMMC Accelerator is a self-managed path to CMMC Level 1. It is best for Hawaii and Guam defense contractors who handle Federal Contract Information but not Controlled Unclassified Information, have a capable internal IT resource, and have decided to perform the remediation work themselves.
How is CMMC Accelerator different from CMMC Overwatch?
Accelerator is a fixed-scope assessment and plan for Level 1, after which your team executes. Overwatch is ongoing compliance leadership across Level 1 and Level 2, including support through a C3PAO assessment. Overwatch is our recommendation. Accelerator is the alternative when you have chosen to self-manage.
Can we start with Accelerator and move to Overwatch later?
Yes, and a number of clients do. The scoping work and the gap assessment carry forward. We pick up at whatever point the POA&M stands rather than starting over.
Do I need to be a PreVeil customer?
Access to PreVeil Compliance Accelerator resources comes through your PreVeil subscription. We will confirm what you need during the scoping call and quote it alongside the engagement.
What is a CMMC Unique Identifier?
When you complete a Level 1 self-assessment and a senior company official affirms it in the Supplier Performance Risk System, your assessment receives a unique identifier. Your contracting officer uses it to verify your status. It must be renewed annually.
What if the gap assessment shows we are actually in Level 2 scope?
We will tell you, and we will tell you before you spend money on the wrong path. Scoping is step one for exactly this reason. If you are in Level 2 scope, we will walk you through CMMC Overwatch or our CMMC Enclave options.
What happens if we do not finish the POA&M?
Level 1 requires all 15 requirements to be met. There is no partial score and no POA&M allowance at affirmation. The POA&M we deliver is a working plan to reach full implementation, not a document you submit. If your team stalls, we can take the remaining work.
How long does it take?
Scoping and assessment typically complete within a few weeks. Remediation timing depends on your team's capacity and how many items are open. Most Level 1 gaps are documentation and configuration confirmation rather than new technology.
